"Six among Frédéric Chopin's most beautiful Nocturnes served as a starting point for designing Nocturnes électroniques: a different point of view of these romantic and tormented masterpieces that I adore, thanks to mixed electronic / acoustic variations .

​The music of Chopin awakened in me the memory of the poems of Baudelaire, les Fleurs du Mal, the Spleen and Idéal. So I imagined this album as the initiatory journey of a soul, through the emotions of sounds. The poet's voice is that of the piano, brilliant and eternal, an ageless voice that resounds with deep feelings. The course is that of all the paths of life, made of balances, falls, despair, hope and finally liberation.

​The journey alternates the six nocturnes with as many contemporary variations, and immerses the acoustic sound of the instrument in an electronic sound world. A contemporary setting that transports Chopin's music into our world, a new

and unexpected point of view that highlights the indissoluble link that unites all art through the ages: humans and their emotions.

And as technology is a stakeholder in the act of creation, the idea of Nocturnes électroniques was developed in contact with a very particular piano, the Disklavier. This instrument has the ability to transform a digital MIDI signal (signal that allows programming and dialogue between and with electronic instruments or the computer) into an almost ancestral mechanical movement: the movement of the keys of a piano. It was the perfect instrument to carry out my project!"
